Winner of the 2021 DAME Design Award, this is a compact yet exceptionally tough personal locator beacon built to perform in extreme conditions. Designed for reliability in both marine and remote countryside environments, it provides critical emergency communication whether you’re offshore, hiking mountainous terrain, or travelling far from mobile coverage.
A key advancement in this model is the integrated Return Link Service (RLS). Once the beacon transmits your distress alert via the 406 MHz frequency through the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite network, a confirmation signal is sent back to the unit. A flashing blue light and a clear message on the digital display confirm that your alert has been received and your location successfully identified — offering valuable reassurance in a high-stress situation.
The personal locator beacon combines three essential rescue technologies. Its GPS and Galileo GNSS receiver calculates your position accurately, while the 406 MHz signal relays your distress message globally via satellite. As rescue teams approach, the built-in 121.5 MHz homing signal allows them to pinpoint your exact location. For enhanced visibility during night-time or low-visibility rescues, the beacon also features a powerful strobe and infrared strobe.
The integrated digital screen provides real-time updates, including live GPS coordinates and beacon status, so you remain informed throughout the rescue process. Built-in buoyancy means the unit floats without the need for an additional pouch, making it equally dependable on the water.
Compact and lightweight enough to carry at all times, the PLB is MEOSAR compatible and offers true global coverage with no subscription fees required. With over 24 hours of operational life once activated and a five-year battery lifespan, it is engineered for dependable readiness.
Robust, globally connected, and enhanced with return-link confirmation, the ResQLink View RLS delivers advanced personal safety technology for serious adventurers - wherever their journey takes them.
