ACR AISLink MOB is a compact personal locator beacon designed to dramatically improve recovery speed in an emergency at sea. Engineered to integrate directly with your life jacket, it can activate automatically when the jacket inflates, sending an alert within approximately 15 seconds to nearby AIS-equipped vessels and chartplotters.

Once triggered, the unit transmits an AIS emergency message, including precise GPS coordinates, to all compatible receivers within a range of up to around 5 miles (4.3 nautical miles), depending on conditions. This immediate local broadcast significantly increases the likelihood of a rapid recovery, as nearby vessels are instantly made aware of the situation. In addition to AIS alerts, the device also supports DSC distress signalling for dual-layer notification.

An integrated GPS receiver quickly establishes an accurate position and continually updates the transmitted location, allowing rescuers to track movement in real time. The built-in ultra-bright LED strobe light further enhances visibility in the water, especially in low light, poor weather or night-time conditions.

Designed for demanding marine environments, the AISLink MOB is rugged, waterproof to 10 metres, and housed in high-impact casing capable of withstanding drops of up to 20 metres. It can be activated either automatically via life jacket inflation or manually when required.

Powered by lithium metal batteries, the unit delivers over 24 hours of operational life once activated and offers a seven-year battery lifespan for long-term reliability.
